Welcome to Naval Air Station Pensacola, known as the “Cradle of Naval Aviation.” NAS Pensacola serves as the launching point for the flight training of every naval aviator, naval flight officer, and enlisted aircrewman.

NAS Pensacola employs more than 16, military and 7, civilian personnel. The base encompasses more than 8, acres of land: about 5, acres at NAS Pensacola proper and another 2, acres at other locations, including Corry Station, Saufley Field, and Outlying Landing Field Bronson. NAS Pensacola provides base operating support and quality of life services for all shore activities aboard NAS Pensacola, Corry Station, Saufley Field, and Bronson Field.

The base is home to the Naval Aviation Schools Command, the Naval Air Technical Training Center, Marine Aviation Training Support Groups 21 and 23, the Blue Angels, and the headquarters for Naval Education Training Command. NAS Pensacola also provides support to 94 Department of Defense and 31 non-DOD tenant commands, most of which train Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard personnel in naval aviation.

Directions to NAS Pensacola

NAS Pensacola is located in northwestern Florida near the Florida-Alabama border in the part of the state known as the panhandle. The base is in Escambia County, southwest of the city of Pensacola. It is about 12 miles from the Pensacola International Airport.

From Pensacola International Airport

  1. When leaving the airport, stay to the left (follow the signs directing you to the beaches and downtown).
  2. At the intersection of Airport Boulevard and 12th Avenue, turn left onto 12th Avenue.
  3. Stay on 12th Avenue until you reach a sign that reads “12th Ave Next Left.” Stay to the right into Fairfield Drive.
  4. Stay on Fairfield Drive and look for a large sign that reads “ South Pensacola NAS”. Merge to the left, which will put you on New Warrington Road.
  5. Stay on New Warrington Road, which turns into Navy Boulevard. Navy Boulevard takes you to the front gate of NAS Pensacola.

From Interstate 10, Westbound

  1. Traveling westbound on Interstate 10, exit at Exit 2.
  2. Turn right (south) onto state Route (Pine Forest Road).
  3. After approximately miles, turn right at the intersection of state Route (Pine Forest Road) and Longleaf Drive onto Longleaf Drive.
  4. Follow Longleaf Drive to state Route (Blue Angel Parkway).
  5. Follow state Route southbound to the back gate of NAS Pensacola.

From Interstate 10, Eastbound

  1. Traveling eastbound on Interstate 10, exit at Exit 2.
  2. Turn left (south) onto state Route (Pine Forest Road).
  3. After approximately miles, turn right at the intersection of state Route (Pine Forest Road) and Longleaf Drive onto Longleaf Drive.
  4. Follow Longleaf Drive to state Route (Blue Angel Parkway).
  5. Follow state Route southbound to the back gate of NAS Pensacola.

In addition, licensed professional realtors are conveniently located in our office and are eager to provide rental and sales data from their multiple listings service. There are many properties in Navy Family Housing’s Rental Partnership Program that offer special concessions when selected for residency. The Rental Partnership Program is designed to provide military personnel, enlisted and officers, with affordable off-base housing. RPP was implemented to ease the transition of military personnel, and to help defray some of the costs incurred with moving. Service members may be charged reduced rent, reduced security deposits and no application fee.

Pensacola is known as the “Cradle of Naval Aviation” and we are proud of the title. Pensacola, FL is home of the famous Blue Angels and the National Museum of Naval Aviation. Additionally, all members of the Navy, Marine, and Coast Guard start their aviation training here in Pensacola.

Pensacola is home to several Navy military bases. Within 70 miles of Pensacola NAS, there are 4 other bases, including NAS Whiting Field in Milton, Hurlburt Field Air Force Base in Mary Esther/Fort Walton, and Eglin Air Force Base in Shalimar.

  • Naval Air Station Pensacola in Pensacola, FL  NAS Pensacola is the largest military base in the Pensacola area. NAS Pensacola is best known for its important role in Naval Aviation. In addition to being home of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, NAS Pensacola is the initial training command post for Naval Aviators. Pensacola NAS has been training aviators since the late 's and currently employs over 14, military personnel yearly. NAS Pensacola is home to many of the services available to military including the US Navy Commisary Store, Pensacola's Navy Exchange, VA Clinic, Naval Hopsital Pensacola.

NAS Pensacola is located in Southwest Pensacola! There are two main entrances to Pensacola NAS. The “front” gate is located off Navy Blvd. in Pensacola. The “back” gate is located off Blue Angel Pkwy, a minute drive from the front gate. The public is only allowed entrance with proper photo ID through the back gate of NAS.

  • Corry Station in Pensacola, FL  Corry Station is headquarters of The Center for Information Warfare Training and is responsible for training over 20, military students annually.

Corry Station is located in West to Southwest Pensacola off New Warrington Rd. just a few miles from front gate of NAS and the Navy Exchange. Corry Station provides intelligence training for sailors.

NAS Whiting Field is located off Hwy 87/ Stewart Street in North Milton, only about 15 minutes from Downtown Milton and 15 minutes from I (Interstate 10).
