Big Smoke's Order is a meme from the 2004 video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

History

The meme originates from 2004 video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, in which young gangster Carl "CJ" Johnson comes home from a 5-year absence to investigate his mother's murder. The meme itself comes from the mission Drive-Thru, in which CJ, Sean "Sweet" Johnson (CJ's brother), Melvin "Big Smoke" Harris, and Lance "Ryder" Wilson (another friend of theirs) all go out for a quick meal at Cluckin' Bell, a fictional combination of Taco Bell and KFC. The gang pulls up the to window, where Big Smoke orders all the food. This is everything he orders: Two number 9s (for CJ and Ryder), a number 9 large (for himself), a number 6 with extra dip (for Sweet), a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda (all for himself). This complicated order has become a meme.

What he truly ordered.

A YouTuber by the name of ComradeWarbear, who made a video of himself deciphering Big Smoke's order from the numbers to figure out what he could've actually ordered. The way he does this is by going to the official Cluckin' Bell website and using their menu and then listening to what Big Smoke orders, he concludes that Big Smoke REALLY ordered this:

The Number 9s are a Fillet Burger, the number 6 is the chicken wings, the number 45 is a Fowlburger (one with cheese), the number 7 is a bucket of chicken, and the large soda is seemingly Sprunk (the ingame version of Sprite), but many believe it to be e-Cola (Coca-Cola). Remember, everything he orders comes with a side of fries.

How many people could Big Smoke's order feed in GTA San Andreas?

Big Smoke's legendary order in GTA San Andreas might be a thing of memes, but it would be interesting to figure out how many people could feed off of it.

In the mission Drive-Thru, CJ and the gang go out to Cluckin' Bell to grab something to eat. CJ and Ryder both order a number 9, while Sweet orders a number 6 with extra dip. Of course, Big Smoke outdoes all of them by ordering the following:

"I'll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda."

The question for today's article is "How many people could Big Smoke's order feed in GTA San Andreas?" The answer will lie in the approximate calories the meals provide and how many human beings need to survive.

How many people could eat Big Smoke's order in GTA San Andreas

There are different estimates to how big Big Smoke's order truly was. The video above states that everything Big Smoke ordered would total up to 7540 calories, but competitive eater Matt Stonie ordered something similar and it added up to 9050 calories. Either way, that's far more calories than what a person needs to normally eat in a single day.

It's worth noting that this article will assume people will divide this GTA San Andreas order in a logical way so everybody will have a similar calorie count, as well as assuming it's for the average person (aka no metabolic conditions that require them to eat more or less than average).

This GTA San Andreas order will also account for people being fully fed by it, as opposed to just being a small snack for the remaining person.

Calorie intakes

One estimate of Big Smoke's order in GTA San Andreas (Image via Matt Stonie)

Everybody's body is different, with different people requiring a different amount of food to survive. Generally speaking, 2,500 calories is the average amount of calories for men and 2,000 calories for women.

Of course, this usually accounts for the entire day. Here, Big Smoke's order from GTA San Andreas is practically a single meal. It is, however, worth noting that it is possible for a single person to eat that much in a single session (although most people won't be able to do so in a healthy manner).

It should also go without saying that the other nutritional values from Big Smoke's order in GTA San Andreas will be paltry, but this article will only focus on the calorie section and assume that this single meal is only used once (and isn't reproduced fully for rounding or anything like that).

How many people could survive off of Big Smoke's order?

Unsurprisingly, a good amount of people could be fed with this single meal (Image via Beard Meat Food)

There will be two metrics looked at for this question. Both the 7540 and 9050 calories will be considered, as well as if it's two groups of men or two groups of women. This will also assume this is those people's only meals for the day, as well as assuming they're capable of gulfing it all down through the course of a day.

Also Read

Assuming the 7540 calorie count is accurate, Big Smoke's order from GTA San Andreas can fully feed three adult men or three adult women. Technically, it's 3.016 men or 3.77 women, but there can't be fractions of a person being fully fed.

If 9050 calories is the true value of Big Smoke's order in GTA San Andreas, then it will fully feed three men (3.62 technically speaking) or four women (4.525 technically speaking).

GTA San Andreas: How big was Big Smoke's Order from the game?

GTA San Andreas, since the year of its release all the way back in 2004 has always been a game that is fondly remembered by fans for its wonderful characters and story moments.

The game was a blast from start to end, featuring an outlandish storyline that goes from neighborhood gang wars to government facilities and jetpacks. The story of GTA San Andreas never fails to get a nice chuckle out of you every once a while.

More recently, the popularity of GTA San Andreas reached sky high with the viral memes of its characters like CJ and Big Smoke. One particular moment that has been "memed to death" is Big Smoke's order at the Cluckin' Bell drive-thru in the game.

Youtuber Matt Stonie took the challenge upon himself to finish Big Smoke's order in under 1 hour.

The scene has spawned a large number of memes, and players have dedicated countless hours trying to figure out how large was the order, and what would it like in real life.

Redditors have been hard at it, and finally figured out what exactly the order contains. As the game uses just meal numbers instead of the actual name of the food item, it proved to hard figure out the order.

After scouring through the Cluckin' Bell Menu in GTA San Andreas, players have figured out what it would look like if you ordered the meal in real-life.

Big Smoke's order and it's real life fast food counterparts from GTA San Andreas

Just to recap what Big Smoke's order was in GTA San Andreas:

"I'll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda."

So to put that in context, here's the full order:

  • 2x Number 9
  • 1x Number 9 (Large)
  • 1x Number 6 (w/ extra dip)
  • 1x Number 7
  • 2x Number 45s (one w/ cheese)
  • 1x Large Soda

That is abnormally large meal for one man. However, a breakthrough in this analysis suggests that Big Smoke was merely recapping the entire order from the rest of his friends.

CJ, Sweet and Ryder also place their orders, which Big Smoke simply recaps and places his own order. Their orders were:

  • 2x Number 9 (For CJ and Ryder)
  • 1x Number 9 Large (For Himself)
  • 1x Number 6 with Extra Dip (For Sweet)
  • 2x Number 45s with Cheese (For Himself)
  • 1x Large Soda (For Himself)
  • 1x Number 7 (For Himself)

So, in conclusion, he ordered 4 things for himself that includes 1 Number 9 Large, 2 Number 45s with Cheese, 1 Number 7 and a Large Soda. According to the website for Cluckin' Bell, each of these orders come with a side of fries.

According to the Cluckin' Bell Menu on the GTA San Andeas' Cluckin' Bell fictional website, these are the orders:

  • Number 9- Fillet Burger
  • Number 6- Chicken Wings
  • Number 45- Fowlburger
  • Number 7- Bucket of Chicken
  • Large Soda- Either Sprunk or e-Cola (Sprite and Coca Cola's in-game version)

All these orders are based mostly around Chick-Fil-A's menu. However, if you're up to it, several Youtubers have tried ordering substitutes from GTA in real-life, you can go ahead and try it as well.

GTA San Andreas Remastered - Mission #9 - Cesar Vialpando (Xbox 360 / PS3)

A YouTuber has proven that his eyes definitely aren't bigger than his stomach by eating a ridiculously large fast food order inspired by Grand Theft Auto.

As reported by Kotaku, YouTuber and eating challenge aficionado Matt Stonie decided to replicate an incident from GTA: San Andreas involving a visit to Cluckin' Bell, the series' fictional fast food chain.

During the mission 'Drive-Thru', one of the game's gang leaders, Big Smoke, makes an enormous order which could easily feed a regular family twice.

Stonie, having watched a video of the order, and another investigating exactly how large it would be in real life, opted to turn it into a challenge.

The complete order is as follows:

"Two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda."

Obviously Cluckin' Bell wasn't an option, so instead Stonie heads to McDonald's and tasks himself with devouring the colossal 9,050-calorie meal in under an hour. That's almost four times the recommended daily calorie intake for a man.

Through superhuman gastrointestinal strength, Stonie manages to guzzle the whole lot in an astounding 34 minutes and 52 seconds.

Maybe this all sounds a little American for you, but never fear, Stonie has also filmed a 10,000-calorie English breakfast challenge for your viewing pleasure.
